Job DescriptionJob Description We are currently recruiting for a hands-on Controller for a well-established manufacturing organization in Colorado Springs. As the Controller you will own the financial narrative while directly influencing operations, compliance, and decision-making. For professionals who enjoy building structure, leading teams, and partnering across the business, this role offers both stability and the ability to make an immediate impact. What you'll own Oversee and review monthly financials (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) to ensure accuracy and timeliness Lead and develop a team across AP, AR, invoicing, payroll/HR, and Assistant Controller functions Support financial operations across multiple entities/subsidiaries Drive month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules Ensure compliance across all financial functions: Taxes and filings Monthly/quarterly reporting Insurance and benefits administration Partner with leadership on cost accounting, job costing, and operational visibility Play a key role in hiring, training, and strengthening the accounting function What tends to make someone successful here Strong foundation in financial statement preparation and ownership Experience in manufacturing environments (cost accounting, job costing, inventory-driven business) Ability to balance hands-on execution with team leadership Comfort operating in a fully onsite, high-accountability environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred ~4+ years of experience preparing full financial statements and managing close Experience with: Job costing / cost accounting AP, AR, invoicing, and collections Balance sheet reconciliations and audit support Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) ERP experience preferred; QuickBooks Desktop a plus Prior manufacturing experience required
