up to 130k DOE + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits, including 4% 401k match About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing organization is seeking a hands-on Controller with a manufacturing or construction background to lead core accounting operations and support executive leadership with accurate financial reporting and analysis. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys balancing hands on and strategic oversight with day-to-day accounting execution in a fast-moving environment. The Controller will serve as a key financial leader, ensuring the integrity of financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving timely reporting that supports organizational decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership, this individual will oversee accounting operations, financial close processes, cash management activities, and compliance requirements while helping enhance systems and processes to support continued growth. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented, process-driven professional who can adapt to changing priorities, solve problems independently, and bring structure to a dynamic business environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions. Monitor billing and collections activities to improve cash flow performance. Ensure customer invoicing is accurate, timely, and aligned with contractual requirements. Manage banking relationships and cash management processes. Support commission calculations and related compensation reporting. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports. Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial performance and key business metrics. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets. Oversee sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Manage annual information-return reporting requirements, including contractor filings. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory obligations. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers. Perform cost accounting, project accounting, and profitability analysis. Evaluate financial trends and provide actionable insights to leadership. Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Develop and maintain reporting tools that enhance visibility into financial performance. Provide guidance and oversight for accounting staff. Strong QuickBooks and excel knowledge - can have NetSuite in leu of QuickBooks Strong interpersonal skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; Experience and an associate's degree would be considered 2+ years of experience as a Controller leading a team in Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering
