Finance Director Southport, CT | On-Site Full-Time | Direct Hire Up to $170k + Bonus A rapidly growing and highly respected professional services firm is seeking a strategic and hands-on Finance Director to join its leadership team in Southport, CT. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Finance will serve as a key business partner responsible for financial strategy, reporting, operational oversight, and growth initiatives. Newly created leadership role with high visibility and executive exposure Fast-growing organization with an active acquisition strategy Award-winning culture focused on collaboration, people, and long-term growth Strong employee tenure and leadership development opportunities Clear Pathway to Partnership program within the organization Opportunity to influence strategic decisions and company direction Collaborative, team-oriented environment that values work-life balance and culture Key Responsibilities Strategic Finance & Planning Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making Evaluate investments across technology, operations, staffing, and acquisitions Provide financial guidance related to growth initiatives and operational strategy Financial Reporting & Analytics Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes Develop KPIs, dashboards, and actionable reporting metrics for leadership Monitor cash flow, profitability, and overall financial performance Deliver insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making Accounting & Operational Oversight Oversee accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accuracy and compliance Manage external audit, tax, and accounting relationships Improve and scale financial controls, policies, and procedures Support operational efficiency across finance functions M&A & Growth Initiatives Assist with financial due diligence and acquisition integration efforts Support deal modeling, earnouts, and equity-related analysis Partner with leadership on strategic growth initiatives and expansion planning Qualifications 8-12 years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience Prior leadership experience within finance or accounting functions CPA preferred; MBA a plus Experience within financial services, wealth management, or professional services environments highly preferred Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strategic mindset with willingness to remain hands-on when needed Compensation & Benefits Base salary: Up to $170,000 DOE Discretionary bonus target around 20% Competitive benefits package Long-term growth and leadership opportunities
