This is an in-office, newly created position, located in our Manufacturing plant in North Haven, CT. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement review. Ensure compliance with internal controls and work with independent accountants to provide support for annual audit. Work collaboratively with the Accounting Manager who oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Contribute to company goals with preparation of capital budgets and projections. Prepare detailed financial reports, analysis, and commentary to support executive decision-making and regulatory reporting obligations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA or CMA certification preferred. 5-7 years of manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements. Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and general ledger accounting. Ability to perform detailed account analysis, to prepare and present financial reports with clarity and precision. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
