This position is designed as a succession hire for the CFO , offering significant exposure to executive leadership, ownership, and long-term decision-making. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing accounting operations, driving process improvements, and helping modernize the finance function , while positioning themselves for advancement into a CFO-level role. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, close process, and internal controls Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on strategic initiatives and financial planning Lead process improvement, systems upgrades, and operational efficiencies Support organizational growth, transformation, and succession initiatives Provide insights and analysis to support business decision-making Mentor and develop accounting staff as the organization evolves Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience in process improvement, operational transformation, or system implementation Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a smaller environment Interest in long-term growth into a CFO or executive leadership role The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role with a clear path to the executive level.
