Assistant Controller

at Robert Half in Hockessin, Delaware, United States Job Description Description Thriving financial services firm is looking for an Assistant Controller who can develop, document and maintain internal controls and financial procedures while supporting the Controller and finance leadership team. In this Assistant Controller role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient month-end close processes, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. This candidate will also, manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, review manufacturing costs, analyze material usage, and supervise and mentor staff. The ideal Assistant Controller for this role must have knowledge of GAAP , current industry trends, and excellent auditing skills. Your responsibilities

• Oversee the daily cash flow process
• Prepare financial packages
• Coordinate the quarter, month, year-end process
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Conduct internal audits
• Design and implement effective internal controls
• Account Reconciliation
• Prepare financial statements
• Implement process improvement where needed
• Prepare financial audits and review with external auditors Requirements The ideal Assistant Controller will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
