Full Time Reports to: General Manager - Strategy, Sales, & Operations Summary of Responsibilities The Director of Retail Finance Operations will be primarily responsible for oversight and control of the credit, funding, customer service, collections, default management, recovery, and remarketing activities within Yamaha Financial Services Retail Finance. Effectively leading the teams and managing critical vendor relationships will be key to success in this role. As a leader of Retail Finance Operations will be expected to bring knowledge and insights to the broader team to help in the long-term growth and success of the business. Key Duties & Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end loan origination and customer servicing process channel ensuring efficient underwriting, funding, and portfolio management while maintaining compliance and regulatory requirements and internal risk policies while ensuring the safeguarding of the portfolio P&L. Ensure a suitable resourcing model is established for all Retail Finance operations teams so seasonal fluctuations in volume are properly contemplated; define and execute a suitable hierarchy, delegation/authority protocol that suitably balances risk & efficiency; support training & development initiatives for the group; ensure changes to policy, programs or product are properly communicated to the group. In conjunction with the Management team, define and implement appropriate policy and protocols with our third party vendors to ensure the service and performance standards we set for broader business are consistently met. Create a suitable and effective rhythm with our vendors to ensure a strong working relationship and optimal use of their technologies and resources. As part of this process, provide direct oversight of the relevant ongoing outsourced operations. Ensure service levels are met, projects are delivered on time and within budget and the portfolio performance is optimally managed. Work closely with Risk management to ensure policy and procedure is properly maintained and supportive of the business. Support and help drive new product, process and people related initiatives on behalf of YMFCA. Participate in Management/Leadership Committees and prepare management reports as required. Help define and lead the dealer& customer survey & complaints management processes for the business. Actively participate and help lead the legal and compliance initiative as necessary.

Operations experience in a captive finance or banking environment Skills and Abilities Expert in Retail Operations processes including developing and/or maintaining credit & Servicing platforms. Experience in vendor Management including relationship management and monitoring, including developing applicable monitoring reports and actioning the results as required. Possesses a high EQ with the demonstrated ability to manage through complexity and manage through influence both internally and external to the organization. Knowledge of Project management processes and experience in managing enterprise projects is considered an asset. Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and flexibility to adapt to change. Demonstrated experience and aptitude to think strategically and be hands-on in delivery and execution to support a start-up financial services operation. Ability to work independently and a natural curiosity are important personal attributes to be successful in this role. Experience in leading Operations functions. A strong team player who will contribute to the culture of the organization. Experienced in developing executive-level presentation materials (PowerPoint).

N/A Expected salary: $150,000/per annum Although base salary for this position is listed, final compensation will be determined based on the candidate s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
