Job Description

Job description: Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for managing the company's accounting functions, supervising the bookkeeping team, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with lenders, investors, and tax professionals. The ideal candidate is a strategic financial leader with excellent organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Supervise and mentor the bookkeeping staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily accounting activities. Manage all corporate bank accounts, cash flow, and treasury functions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate and oversee corporate tax filings and work with external CPAs to ensure timely compliance. Manage investor reporting, including preparation and distribution of K-1 tax documents. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations. Maintain relationships with lenders, banking institutions, and investors. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Develop and implement internal financial controls and accounting policies. Support audits and provide requested financial documentation. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to senior management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. Strong knowledge of corporate accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting. Experience managing investor relations and K-1 reporting. Experience working with lenders, banking relationships, and financing. Proven leadership experience supervising accounting or bookkeeping staff. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
