Job Description:

Company Background Our client is a growing service-based organization focused on operational excellence and long-term growth. The company is seeking a hands-on financial leader to oversee accounting operations and support continued expansion. The Position As the Controller, you will lead the company's financial operations and partner closely with the CFO and leadership team on strategic financial decisions. This role will oversee all accounting functions, reporting, compliance, cash management, and budgeting while helping drive operational efficiency across the organization.

Primary responsibilities include:

Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and budgeting processes Develop and maintain internal controls and support external audit activities Provide financial analysis including KPI tracking, variance analysis, job costing, and forecasting Lead and mentor accounting and administrative teams Partner with operational leaders to improve efficiency through accounting and field service software platforms Qualifications and Candidate Background The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of accounting and financial management experience Experience as a Controller within business services or field service industries Background in industries such as landscaping, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, janitorial, or facilities management Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Experience with field service platforms such as LMN, Aspire, or ServiceTitan preferred Public accounting experience and CPA certification are highly desirable Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Spanish-speaking preferred Location This position is in Fort Lauderdale, FL and is onsite .
