Lauderdale, FL Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Controller/Finance Director to oversee all financial operations of the company. This Controller/Finance Director will be responsible for managing the company's financial planning, reporting, and internal controls to ensure long-term stability and profitability in a growing business.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger accounting. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company growth. Manage and produce timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Manage inter-company billings and credit card charges. Track project costs and profitability, work closely with project managers on job costing. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and policies Ensure compliance with tax laws, and industry-specific regulations Advise leadership on financial planning and risk management Partner with external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification or MBA a plus) 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction or a related industry Strong knowledge of construction accounting Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience in managing a small accounting/finance team
Desired Skills:
Bilingual is a plus.
