Job DescriptionJob Description A high-end manufacturing company based in Miami is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and execute all core accounting and financial operations. This role is both strategic and highly involved in day-to-day activities, with responsibility across financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, internal controls, and budgeting. The Controller plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and supporting the ongoing development and improvement of internal controls, policies, and financial planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and actively manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing/invoicing, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, general accounting, and cost accounting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all functions Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of internal and external financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, while maintaining compliance with GAAP Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, and provide financial analysis to support business initiatives such as capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects Establish, maintain, and enhance systems, internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data, safeguard company assets, and support evolving business processes Manage and develop the accounting/finance team, including hiring, training, assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and resolving employee issues Monitor cash flow, line of credit activity, and compliance with debt covenants, while ensuring overall financial stability Ensure full corporate tax compliance, including timely and accurate filing of all required tax returns and reports, and coordinate and oversee external audits Advise leadership on risk management areas such as insurance coverage for property protection and potential liabilities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-10 years of experience in a hands-on Controller or Accounting Manager role Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory/management experience (hiring, performance management, coaching, etc.) Multi-state accounting experience required Experience in a manufacturing and/or logistics environment strongly preferred Experience with inventory control preferred Strong ability to communicate financial information, analysis, and recommendations both verbally and in writing Strong proficiency with Excel and Access; experience with ERP systems required (ADP/payroll experience preferred) Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Company DescriptionOur firm focuses on providing custom placements to form a seamless fit for your company and your needs.
