$90,000•$120,000 per year Job Details•We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our thriving construction team. This role is perfect for a financial wizard who has a knack for numbers and a passion for strategic planning. The Permanent Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, month end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and forecasting. This position will play a pivotal role in the financial success of our firm, helping to guide our financial strategy and ensure we remain profitable and competitive in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions. 2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and other executive members on strategic growth and financial stability. 3. Supervise the investment and raising of funds to meet ongoing operational requirements and future growth expectations. 4. Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations to senior management. 5. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis. 6. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. 7. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization. 8. Monitor banking activities of the organization and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry. 3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. 5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. 6. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and forecasting. 7. Proven experience in financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, corporate finance, and quality management. 8. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 9. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes. 10. Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs.
