Job DescriptionJob Description RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing a non-profit with more than 50 years of operations and specializes in assisting the elderly and under-serviced populations of Miami, FL that is currently seeking a (Financial) Controller. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. As Controller, you would be responsible for managing their operational finance and accounting department, along with functions of financial reporting for one of the most established non-profits in South Florida.
Key Job Duties:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes. Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards. Develop, monitor, and manage the organization's operating budget, providing variance analysis and financial forecasting. Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and effective stewardship of nonprofit resources. Manage grant accounting and restricted funds, ensuring expenditures align with grant agreements and reporting requirements. Coordinate annual audits, prepare supporting schedules, and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies. Support executive leadership with financial insights, operational reporting, and strategic recommendations to enhance organizational sustainability.
