Controller

EVI Industries, a publicly traded company, is seeking a Controller to support financial operations across multiple business units in a fast-paced and growing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with leadership, improving processes, and driving operational performance through accurate financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis Prepare and analyze financial statements and operational performance reports Monitor key financial metrics including revenue, margins, labor, expenses, inventory, and cash flow Perform variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP Improve accounting processes and reporting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy Support audit preparation, 1099 processing, and vendor/payment management Partner closely with finance and operational leadership teams across the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant-level role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with month-end close, cash flow management, forecasting, and variance analysis Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Experience in a multi-location or operational environment strongly preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Why Join EVI Industries? Pay:

$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
