Job Description
Controller - Logistics & Freight Forwarding | 100% Onsite Our client, a rapidly growing logistics organization, is seeking a Controller to help support a growing company while strengthening the finance and accounting and developing a team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is looking for a role that offers both challenge and growth.
Experience within a freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain organization is strongly preferred.
ResponsibilitiesManage the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Lead month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring deadlines are met.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to support effective cash management.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Assist with clearing accounting backlogs while helping establish scalable processes to support the company's continued growth.
