Job Description
The Divorce Lawyers - Cabanas Law Firm is one of Florida's fastest-growing family law firms, with multiple offices statewide. We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations, strengthen financial reporting, and support the firm's continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and enjoys building processes while partnering with executive leadership. Position Summary The Controller is responsible for overseeing the firm's accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role reports directly to the executive leadership team and plays a key role in the firm's financial success.
General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Bank reconciliations Payroll oversight Trust accounting compliance (preferred) Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Produce financial reports, KPIs, and executive dashboards Manage month-end and year-end close processes Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts Monitor cash flow and financial performance Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable legal regulations Coordinate annual tax preparation and external audits Establish and improve accounting policies and internal controls Supervise and mentor accounting staff Analyze profitability by office location and practice area Assist leadership with strategic financial planning and operational decisions Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs About Company Cabanas Law Firm is one of South Florida's fastest-growing family law firms, recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America . Compensation:
$80,000 - $95,000DOE Responsibilities:
