Job Description

Job description: SUMMARY The Senior Vice President of Residential Services is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational performance, financial results, and brand positioning of The Tradition of the Palm Beaches, The Levin Palace, Resnick and Goldsmith, an over 500-unit senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care across both luxury and affordable residences. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive provides leadership through Executive Directors and other direct reports and is accountable for delivering operational excellence, superior resident experience, and market-leading differentiation. This role functions as the business leader for Residential Services, ensuring strong occupancy, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and a consistently high-quality environment. In addition to operational and financial performance, the SVP is responsible for optimizing the reputation of Residential Services through innovation, service excellence, and achievement of industry awards, recognitions, and best-in-class benchmarks. The SVP serves on the Executive Team and collaborates across the organization to align Residential Services with MorseLife's mission, strategy, and growth objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership Provide executive oversight of all residential operations across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

Lead and hold accountable direct reports responsible for day-to-day operations.

Ensure consistent execution of high-quality services, regulatory compliance, and operational standards across all service lines.

Establish and implement best practices, standardization, and performance improvement initiatives. Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for a mixed luxury and affordable residential model.

Drive long-term planning related to occupancy, service offerings, pricing, and product mix.

Identify and implement innovative programs to enhance competitiveness and resident value.

Align Residential Services strategy with broader organizational goals and campus integration. Brand Development & Market Positioning Position the residential services as a premier senior living destination in the region and beyond.

Lead efforts to achieve industry recognition, awards, and accolades that reinforce excellence in service, hospitality, and workplace culture.

Partner with sales, marketing, and communications to strengthen brand identity, visibility, and reputation.

Ensure a consistent, elevated hospitality experience aligned with luxury service expectations. Resident Experience Champion a culture of exceptional service, engagement, and responsiveness.

Ensure systems are in place to measure, monitor, and continuously improve resident satisfaction.

Maintain a visible leadership presence within the community and proactively address resident concerns. Financial & Business Management Oversee the financial performance of Residential Services with full accountability for revenue, expenses, and operating margin.

Develop, present, and manage annual operating and capital budgets.

Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to address variances.

Drive occupancy growth and revenue optimization strategies. Leadership & Talent Development Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leadership, including Executive Directors and department heads.

Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, trustcollaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ensure appropriate staffing models and workforce planning across all service lines.

Promote professional development and succession planning. Facilities & Environment Ensure the community is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and aesthetics.

Oversee capital improvements and infrastructure planning to support long-term asset value. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Maintain knowledge of governing documents and regulatory requirements.

Interface with senior leadership and provide updates to executive leadership and, as appropriate, the Board. Organizational Collaboration Collaborate with clinical, hospitality, finance, and support services to ensure seamless integration of services.

Collaborate with other service lines across campus, home, and community-based services and in the community.

Strategize with SVP, Development, to aid in both strengthening and implementing the pursuit of philanthropic support for Residential services.

Participate in organizational initiatives, committees, and strategic projects.

Represent Residential Services as a key component of the MorseLife campus and continuum of care. Performs all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises the executive directors and the executive assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, master's degree preferred; 10 years related experience in senior living; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
