This position will manage day-to-day accounting operations while providing full-cycle accounting support for property management activities and real estate development projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Oversee all financial management and accounting functions of the organization. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices. Perform account reconciliations and review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness. Prepare financial reports, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to support business decisions. Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare and present monthly owner distributions. Monitor accounts receivable, tenant billings, and billing adjustments. Generate, audit, and distribute invoices in a timely manner to support healthy cash flow. Maintain organized tenant and vendor documentation. Stay current on industry trends, accounting regulations, and reporting requirements. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting team members. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-6 years of real estate accounting experience required. Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency with QuickBooks (minimum 2 years required). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience Property management accounting experience. Experience supporting real estate development projects. Experience preparing owner distributions and managing tenant billing processes. #
SECON Pay:
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
