Job Description

Position Summary:
The Controller manages the financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to optimize profitability. Oversees accounts payable and receivable, monitor cash flow, and enforce internal controls to maintain financial integrity. Collaborating with department heads, they implement cost-control measures and analyze financial performance to support strategic decision-making. Ensures all functions are being performed accurately, on a timely basis and according to hotel standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all accounting, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, internal controls, and audit standards Partner with executive and department leadership to drive financial performance and cost controls Develop and manage operating and capital budgets; analyze variances and performance trends Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes Provide strategic guidance on revenue management, labor optimization, and operational efficiencies Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements Serve as a trusted advisor to property leadership Assist with HR as needed Follow all company policies. Maintains all specified reporting, controlling, and record keeping systems. Including end of shift notes, incident reports, and other paperwork. Acts in accordance with Hotel Indigo Core Values and Mission Statement. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least five years of experience in the field preferred Experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results for at least 4 years Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need. Able to prioritize to meet due dates and deadlines. Advocate of an open-door policy, a hands-on leader involved in processing, investigations, and problem-solving. Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred CPA preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and hotel software /systems. Works well with management, peers and subordinates. Strong interpersonal, problem resolution and management skills.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
