Shepeard Community Blood Center Augusta, GA Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Management Bachelor's degree Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial, operational, and administrative activities of our organization. This executive-level role is responsible for financial stewardship, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and supporting organizational growth. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Operations Direct all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, purchasing, budgeting, asset management, and audits. Prepare timely, accurate, and compliant financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders. Ensure all financial reporting requirements for government and regulatory authorities are met. Proactively monitor organizational investments, assessing risks and identifying opportunities. Strategic & Tactical Planning Analyze financial trends and organizational data to provide informed recommendations to senior leadership. Support the CEO in developing annual operating and capital budgets. Establish and maintain internal financial controls; coordinate annual financial audits. Develop and implement streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Organizational Leadership Collaborate with senior leaders to support strategic planning and organizational goals. Foster strong interdepartmental communication, integration, and continuous improvement. Address emerging issues related to business operations, personnel, materials, or systems. Meet or exceed established key performance indicators. Other Responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred. Experience Minimum of five (5) years of management experience required. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Physical Requirements Regular activities may include standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending, or twisting. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs as needed. Working Conditions Primarily office-based environment with climate control. Rare exposure to blood or blood products. Work may involve frequent interruptions, competing priorities, and tight deadlines. Evening, holidays, or weekend hours may occasionally be required.
