Group Vice President, Manufacturing Finance Reports to:
Group Chief Operating Officer Overview:
We are conducting a search for a Group Vice President, Manufacturing Finance , to lead the finance and accounting functions for a complex, multi-site manufacturing platform approaching $2 billion in annual revenue . Significant leadership experience supporting complex, multi-site manufacturing operations, preferably within food, beverage, protein, consumer products, or similarly high-volume manufacturing environments is essential for success in this role. Company Leadership, the Chief Financial Officer, and Board of Directors have combined three business units into one, now known as the Food Group. This role serves as a strategic partner and key member of the leadership team, providing financial insight, operational analysis, and strategic guidance to support business performance, transformation initiatives, and long-term growth. The Group Vice President, Manufacturing Finance plays a critical role in overseeing financial planning, accounting, reporting, and operational finance across a diversified manufacturing platform, ensuring financial discipline while enabling data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will bring strong financial leadership, operational finance expertise, and a collaborative leadership style, partnering closely with executive leadership to support strategic planning, operational performance, integration efforts, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement. This position may be based in Conyers, Georgia or Southern California and will require travel to manufacturing facilities and business locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership and Business Partnership Partner with the Group Chief Operating Offer to support annual and long-term strategic planning initiatives. Provide financial leadership and insight to support business strategy, operational performance, transformation initiatives, and long-term growth. Collaborate with operations, purchasing, supply chain, and sales leadership to monitor commodity positions, pricing, and operational financial performance. Serve as a trusted business partner to executive leadership, supporting informed decision-making across the organization. Financial Planning, Analysis, and Performance Management Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning activities. Develop performance measures and reporting processes that drive accountability across the organization. Review financial performance and provide insights that support operational improvement and informed decision-making. Integration and Transformation Leadership Partner with executive leadership to support integration and transformation initiatives across multiple manufacturing businesses. Lead efforts to standardize financial processes, reporting, controls, and performance metrics. Support systems enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and organizational effectiveness efforts. Financial Governance, Controls, and Compliance Work with Corporate Finance, Corporate IT, and Business Unit Leadership to maintain financial policies, controls, accounting standards, and reporting processes. Support compliance efforts and participate in internal and external financial and tax audits. Operational Finance and Manufacturing Performance Champion manufacturing variance analysis to identify areas requiring attention and opportunities for improvement. Partner with operations leadership to improve manufacturing and financial performance across the platform. Manage capital expenditure planning and support financial evaluation of business opportunities. Lead and support Finance Center of Excellence (COE) initiatives. Finance Team Leadership and Development Create and lead a high-performing finance organization by hiring, developing, and retaining top talent. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop finance leaders and team members to support organizational growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required. MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced credential is preferred, but optional. 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or operational finance roles. Minimum of 3+ years of supply chain finance experience. Demonstrated experience leading integration, transformation, systems implementation, or process standardization initiatives within complex manufacturing environments. Strong working knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, manufacturing variance analysis, and profitability analysis. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making across multiple levels of an organization. Proven leadership capability with experience building and developing high-performing finance teams. Strong business acumen and ability to serve as a strategic financial partner to operational leadership. Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
