Job Description

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ's relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client's needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. Position Overview The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls for our manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with operations and executive leadership to drive profitability, improve processes, and ensure financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and fixed assets Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation Partner with operations to analyze production costs, margins, and efficiency metrics Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations Coordinate audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors Drive process improvements and ERP system optimization Supervise and mentor accounting staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) #GHJSS #LI-SV1 We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
