The Opportunity We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Controller to build and lead the accounting function from the ground up. This is a critical leadership role with a clear path to CFO as the company scales. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-growth environments, enjoys building systems (not just maintaining them), and wants a seat at the table shaping strategy. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and own the company's accounting systems, processes, and internal controls with scalability in mind Manage all core accounting functions: GL, AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close Produce a robust monthly financial reporting package , including: Income statement, balance sheet, cash flow Operational KPIs, dashboards, and trend analysis Develop KPI reporting tied directly to business drivers such as margin performance, growth initiatives, and operational efficiency Partner closely with ownership to provide insight on pricing, profitability, business development strategies, and expansion planning Establish accounting policies, procedures, and documentation to support future audits, compliance, and growth Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning to ensure strong financial visibility Evaluate and improve systems and automation opportunities across accounting workflows (AP automation, reporting tools, integrations, etc.) Support governance and risk management, including audit readiness and vendor/contract financial oversight Build the foundation for a future finance team and evolve the function as the company grows What We're Looking For Strong accounting background with Controller-level experience or readiness to step into the role Experience in SaaS-based, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments is highly valued Track record of building or upgrading accounting systems in growth-stage companies Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically Energetic, ambitious, and motivated by long-term leadership opportunity In-person availability in Thomasville, GA (Tallahassee candidates encouraged)

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
