Our client, a respected leader in luxury resort and residence management in Hawaii, is seeking an experienced Area Director of Finance to oversee financial operations across a portfolio of properties. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on driving financial performance, building strong teams, and partnering with executive leadership to influence business success. In this role, you will serve as a key financial advisor to senior leadership and ownership, overseeing all accounting and financial functions while ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards. Hours Full-time, Monday-Friday Location Kihei, Maui Pay $160,000 to $180,000 a year, Plus annual bonuses Responsibilities Lead and oversee all financial activities across multiple properties. Prepare and present monthly financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses. Advise leadership on financial performance, profitability, and strategic decisions. Develop and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures. Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and financial reporting processes. Hire, mentor, and lead an accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Partner with department heads to interpret financial data and improve operations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and corporate requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3+ years of accounting/finance experience. At least 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Hospitality, resort, or property management experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and drive insights. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems. Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
