Ownership Position Summary The Director of FinanceOperations will oversee the financial, accounting, reporting, compliance, and administrative functions of a growing commercial real estate investment, brokerage, development, and property management platform. This individual will serve as the primary internal financial leader responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, coordinating investor reporting, and supporting ownership with timely financial information and operational oversight. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can operate independently, manage multiple entities, and work directly with ownership, investors, lenders, tenants, vendors, and outside accounting professionals. Key Responsibilities AccountingFinancial Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple affiliated entities. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Coordinate payroll processing and payroll reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures. Work directly with outside CPA firms regarding tax preparation and financial reporting. Cash ManagementBanking Monitor cash balances across all entities. Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports. Coordinate banking relationships and treasury management functions. Manage loan reporting requirements and lender compliance requests. Assist ownership with debt administration and refinancing documentation. Investor ReportingDistributions Prepare investor reports and financial summaries. Calculate and coordinate investor distributions. Maintain investor capital account records. Assist with partnership and ownership reporting requirements. PropertyReal Estate Accounting Oversee accounting for commercial real estate assets. Monitor tenant receivables and lease-related financial obligations. Prepare and administer CAM reconciliations. Assist with budgeting and financial analysis of property operations. Coordinate with property management personnel to ensure accurate financial reporting. ComplianceAdministration Manage entity compliance and annual filings. Coordinate insurance renewals and related reporting requirements. Maintain corporate records and organizational documents. Support ownership with special projects and financial analysis. Ensure internal financial controls and procedures are maintained. BrokerageOperational Support Track brokerage commissions and transaction-related payments. Maintain commission reporting and payment schedules. Support operational improvements and process efficiencies across affiliated companies. Assist with implementation and management of accounting and reporting systems. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of accounting, finance, or operational management experience. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Experience managing multiple entities and bank accounts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Preferred Commercial real estate, property management, or development accounting experience. Experience with partnership accounting and investor reporting. Familiarity with CAM reconciliations and commercial leases. Experience coordinating with lenders, investors, and outside CPA firms. CPA designation or CPA-track candidate preferred but not required.
