Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with an outstanding privately held organization in the Quad Cities area to identify a Vice President of Finance. This is a career-making opportunity for a finance leader who wants to make a meaningful impact and has the potential to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role over time.

Our client is seeking a strong financial business partner with experience in a larger company environment who can bring leadership, operational finance expertise, and executive presence to the organization. This individual will oversee monthly financial reporting, work-in-process (WIP) reporting, and core financial operations while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the board.

The ideal candidate is an outgoing and engaging leader who can develop a team, build strong cross-functional relationships, and clearly articulate financial performance and insights to both operational leaders and board-level audiences.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee monthly financial reporting and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.

Manage financial operations including accounting, cash management, and compliance.

Lead project-based financial reporting, including WIP analysis, job cost tracking, and percentage-of-completion accounting.

Partner closely with operations and project leadership to provide financial insight and improve project performance.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.

Prepare and present financial information to executive leadership and the board in a clear, actionable manner.

Maintain and improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting systems.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

Serve as a key financial business partner across the organization.
