Job Description

We are looking to hire a strong leader to oversee the accounting and product pricing functions. The AED Corporate Controller is a highly competent financial expert who manages the company's finances and helps guide its strategic financial decisions.
Their responsibilities include:
Accounting:
Overseeing the accounting staff and daily accounting functions, such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Budgets:
Preparing and managing budgets, and ensuring expenses are allocated in the most favorable way Financial reporting: Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements, and coordinating their preparation with internal and external auditors Financial policies: Developing and implementing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations Financial risk: Performing financial risk assessments and internal audits Tax returns: Handling preparation of data for tax returns (actual return done by outside firm) Prepare use tax returns Oversee preparation of Benefit Plan 5500's Oversee Financial audit process done by outside public accounting personnel Oversee Benefit Plan audits done by outside public accounting personnel Financial performance: Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
Forecasting:
Accurately projecting how much money is coming in during a given period Prepare information for monthly price changes Review/execute any periodic bids from: Specific groups of customers Schools and government institutions Other bid customers Work with Sales and Distribution personnel on routes and capacities Part of the committee that reviews benefit plan investment options and performance Part of the committee that reviews medical and other benefit plan designs for employees Preferred attributes and experience shall include the following: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Experience as a controller or in public accounting Technical knowledge of accounting systems Proficient use of variety of computer systems and software applications Experience in collecting and analyzing data and using it to make informed decisions Understanding of continuous improvement and experience with implementation Bachelor degree in accounting For additional information regarding Anderson Erickson Dairy, please visit www.aedairy.com (http://www.aedairy.com).
