Job Description

Job Summary Lloyd Accounting is growing and looking to add a Controller to our team in Hiawatha, Iowa. We are seeking a detail-oriented, forward-thinking professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with clients and team members alike. This role will primarily support clients in the construction and real estate industries, providing high-level accounting oversight, financial reporting, job costing support, and project-based accounting services. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service. Duties Preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliations Managing AIA billings Performing job costing and cost accounting functions Tracking project costs, budgets, and profitability Recording accruals and prepaid expenses Calculating and tracking depreciation Preparing cash flow statements and trial balances Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Preparing and filing sales tax returns, including related research Tracking intercompany transactions and activity Preparing and filing 1099s Processing payroll, including W-2 preparation and filings Other projects as assigned Qualifications Experience in the construction and/or real estate industries required Strong understanding of construction and real estate operations, including purchasing, financing, and project processes Experience with job costing, project accounting, and cost tracking Experience working in multiple accounting software platforms, including QuickBooks and AppFolio Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional client-facing approach Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines Comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced, family-oriented work environment

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
