With 16 dealerships and 10 brands, Bob Loquercio Auto Group has an immediate opening in our Corporate Office for a Controller ! What We're Looking For As the Controller, you will be a hands-on leader, assisting the Director of Accounting in managing accounting staff, overseeing and performing the general accounting function, and working closely with the Director of Accounting & CFO to train for advancement. Must also possess the ability to oversee the financial aspects of several of the 16 dealerships and monitor internal compliance, adhere to the budget, assist with internal audits, prepare a fixed asset report, and complete additional accounting related tasks.   • aged, unbalanced to statement, GAAP period, accruals License & Title
  • out of state taxes, missing titles, lien releases Vehicle Inventory
  • reconcile accounting units to inventory units, audit costs applied to aged vehicles, responsible for timing of payoffs and overseeing floor audits Billing
  • ensure timely F&I cancellations, monitor CIT's, audit postings, gross-books Plan for staffing changes and schedules (promotions, growth, turnover, PTO) Interpret and analyze financial statements and assist department managers to do the same while creating an action plan needed to improve their operation Ensure the books are closed accurately each month by scheduling a month-close timeline
DMS Maintenance and Audit:
Audit existing DMS' for setups, security, mapping, etc.
Maintain Chart of Accounts:
Add new accounts Add account DOC, Financial Statements, etc. Submit factory financial statements Prepare year-end adjusting entries
Internal Audit:
Sales Tax Compliance Account postings OEM incentives, rebates, etc. (all factory programs) Manage and safeguard the stores assets and ensure that internal controls are in place Work with Executive Staff and GM's to improve revenue or reduce expense to meet or exceed budget Qualifications BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, followed by 5+ years of relevant experience, including an established record of success in supervisory/managerial positions; tax auditing & preparation. CPA preferred Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting in Automotive accounting Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Dealertrack DMS experience required Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer.
