Job Description:
One of the fastest-growing alternative investment firms in the country is adding an Assistant Controller to own fund activity across their private equity, real estate, and credit platform. This is a high-visibility seat - reporting directly to the CFO - with real ownership over carried interest, GP commitments, and fund operations from day one. The firm is in an active growth phase and this role will help build the infrastructure to support it. Keys to an interview | Assistant Controller, Private Equity Fund Accounting 7+ years in GP-focused fund accounting at a PE firm, real assets manager, or fund administrator Hands-on experience with carried interest calculations, GP commitments, and fee waiver programs Fluency in both American and European waterfall structures CPA preferred Track record of leveraging technology and systems to improve processes (Allvue, Power BI, Alteryx a plus) Key responsibilities | Assistant Controller, Private Equity Fund Accounting Own all fund accounting, financial reporting, and capital account management related to the firm's general partners Manage quarterly and annual financial statements, capital calls, and distribution notices Oversee carried interest calculations, GP commitment tracking, and fee waiver programs Monitor fund liquidity, cash flows, and subscription credit facilities Manage the relationship with the firm's third-party fund administrator Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel Partner with Investor Relations on timely and accurate investor communications Design and implement scalable policies, procedures, and systems to support growth Provide strategic support on fund structuring and new product initiatives Mentor junior team members as the finance function expands
