Job Description:
Controller - On-site (5 days/week) Up to $160K We're partnering with a fast-growing, asset-based logistics organization operating a large national fleet to identify a Manager / Senior Accounting professional (Controller) to join their finance leadership team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role reporting directly to the CFO, with broad ownership across accounting operations and strong exposure to fleet, fuel, and asset-heavy financial management in a rapidly scaling business.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee core accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, payroll, financial reporting) Manage full lifecycle fleet and fixed asset accounting (acquisition, depreciation, disposal) Track and analyze operational costs , a key business driver Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with leadership Drive process improvements and build scalable SOPs and reporting structure Partner with IT and operations on systems and process integrations Support compliance across legal, HR, insurance, and external partners Act as a key liaison with external accounting and advisory teams What we're looking for: Strong accounting background with controllership or senior-level experience Experience in trucking, logistics industries strongly preferred Hands-on experience with fixed assets, fleet, or cost-heavy operations (fuel, equipment, etc.) Ability to operate in both strategic and execution-focused environments Strong analytical skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing company This is a great opportunity to join a company in a strong expansion phase where you'll have direct visibility to leadership and real ownership over key financial and operational drivers.
