Controller - 3 Days Onsite We are seeking a Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a global manufacturing organization based in the Northwest suburbs. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable financial insights that support both operational performance and strategic decision-making. The Controller will serve as a key business partner to plant and operations leadership, playing a critical role in driving profitability, cost efficiency, and overall financial discipline across the site. What You'll Do- Lead all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Lead some inventory, and margin analysis
- Tax experience required
- Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Support tax, audit, and compliance requirements
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure tracking
- Drive ERP optimization, reporting improvements, and process automation
- Lead and develop accounting team members What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior Controller, Assistant Controller or Manager experience strongly preferred
- Strong manufacturing/distribution accounting background
- Solid general accounting and financial reporting expertise
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong leadership and business partnering skills What's Offered
- $130K-$155K base salary
