Job Description
Job SummaryThe Financial Controller oversees the company's financial operations and ensures accurate, timely reporting. This role may manage tasks directly or through the accounting team.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage company financial accounts and lead the monthly close process.
Oversee half-year and year-end close activities, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
Review and update standard costs as needed and track their impact.
Provide regular financial updates to management to support business decisions.
Help develop financial strategies, goals, and policies.
Prepare reports on financial performance, including income, expenses, and forecasts.
Lead budgeting processes and review budget proposals.
Advise management on insurance coverage and financial risks.
Oversee asset depreciation and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Stay up to date on tax changes and recommend adjustments as needed.
Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Manage 2-3 team members.
Handle hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee development.
Assign and oversee work, address issues, and support team success.
