Job Description

Controller – Full-Time (On-Site) –
Fishers, IN Salary:
$125,000–$140,000 per year +

Healthcare, PTO, Retirement Plan Our growing construction-focused organization is seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the accounting function and support ongoing expansion. With multiple projects, active job sites, and a strong pipeline, this role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, project visibility, and operational success. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting Manage WIP schedules, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Lead accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management across multiple projects Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support leadership decision-making Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls Partner with project managers and leadership to analyze job performance and profitability Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities Construction or project-based accounting experience required Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, and revenue recognition Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
