Job Description

Controller Salary:
$125,000 – $140,000 +
Bonus Potential Location:
Indianapolis, IN (Fully Onsite) Position Overview Our client, a well-established and reputable construction-focused organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting function. With a strong backlog of projects and a history of steady growth, this organization offers both stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. The Controller will serve as a key financial leader, partnering closely with executive management to support operational and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting Lead WIP reporting, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Ensure accuracy and timeliness of project financials across multiple jobs and locations Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Maintain compliance with GAAP and oversee audit processes Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities Construction or project-based accounting experience required Strong knowledge of WIP schedules, job costing, and revenue recognition Proven ability to lead teams and improve processes Why Join Stable, growth-oriented construction organization with a strong industry reputation High-visibility leadership role with direct interaction with executive team Opportunity to influence processes and support continued expansion Competitive compensation, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits #
