We're partnering with an established, growth-oriented manufacturer in the Syracuse area on a strategic FP&A leadership opportunity. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to senior leadership, where your vision, forecasts, and insights will directly shape business decisions and drive the financial direction of the company. What makes this role stand out This isn't a back-office finance job. You'll be a true business partner, embedded at the leadership level and working alongside Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to connect financial strategy to real operational outcomes. You'll own the S&OP financial process, lead product growth and investment modeling, manage the full commission and sales incentive plan, and build the FP&A function to scale with the business. What you'll own Lead and develop the FP&A function, setting the standard for financial planning and analysis across the organization Drive annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles Build and deliver financial dashboards and performance reports to senior leadership Develop financial models for business cases, investments, and product growth initiatives Own the sales commission and incentive plan including design, tracking, and payout management Partner with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain on demand forecasting and S&OP Identify key risks and opportunities and communicate them clearly to senior leadership Champion continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and systems What you bring 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience with demonstrated leadership Manufacturing or industrial company background required Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Excel required and BI tools Experience owning and leading S&OP processes at a senior level ERP/BI system proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or similar Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred The right person thinks like a CFO, communicates like a business partner, and builds finance functions that actually move companies forward.
