The Expertise You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting experience Experience with ERP systems (DelmiaWorks, IQMS, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) Experience in independently managing month-end close processes Previous staff supervision and leadership experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Knowledge of payroll oversight and payroll reconciliations Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management Ability to analyze manufacturing variances and inventory valuation Strong communication and leadership skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Comfortable working in a manufacturing/plant environment Process-driven and systems-oriented mindset

Impact:
Lead all day-to-day accounting operations for the manufacturing facility Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes Prepare and maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accrual schedules Oversee cash reconciliations, bank reporting, and cash forecasting Prepare monthly management reports and KPI scorecards Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost systems Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances Monitor work-in-process (WIP) and percentage-of-completion calculations Validate cost models and support customer pricing decisions Review and approve financial components of customer quotes Analyze actual versus quoted margins and identify variance drivers Manage accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and vendor relationships Monitor inventory levels and working capital performance Prepare borrowing base reports and maintain lender compliance reporting Coordinate the annual budgeting process and forecasting activities Prepare budget-versus-actual variance analyses Support long-range financial planning and rolling forecasts Oversee payroll approval, payroll reconciliations, and payroll tax compliance Monitor PTO, benefits, and workforce cost reporting Support insurance renewals and workers' compensation reporting Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance Support external audits and tax preparation activities Manage fixed asset accounting and capitalization policies Oversee ERP financial modules and reporting automation initiatives Supervise and develop accounting and HR/payroll support staff Crosstrain team members and document financial processes Recommend departmental improvements and staffing plans as the company grows Partner with leadership, sales, and operations teams to improve profitability and financial performance Serve as the financial authority on cost integrity, pricing validation, and margin analysis
