Controller

We are looking for a skilled Controller to lead and manage financial operations within our organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana. In this role, you will oversee crucial aspects of accounting, budgeting, compliance, and long-term financial planning to ensure the organization's fiscal health and success. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial strategy and reporting, along with a commitment to fostering organizational growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, organization, and execution of accounting, budgeting, and financial systems to maintain robust internal controls and compliance.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop long-term financial plans to support organizational goals.
• Provide strategic advice to leadership on financial challenges and opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient revenue cycle processes and timely financial closures.
• Develop and implement the organization's long-range financial strategic plan in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements through audits, reporting, and monitoring.
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports for the Board of Directors, executive management, and leadership teams.
• Collaborate on drafting budgets, identifying funding opportunities, and evaluating cost-effectiveness of service delivery.
• Deliver training and resources to increase financial management awareness across the organization.
• Monitor banking activities and ensure sufficient cash flow to meet operational needs.
