Robert Half Controller Andover, MA Apply Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization in Andover, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting and financial management and a keen attention to detail. The role involves managing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and cash management.
• Supervise the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Prepare detailed financial reports that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and maintain tax compliance.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives to align financial planning with business goals.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure the proper tracking and reporting of company assets.
• Implement and maintain accounting software systems to optimize operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration. Requirements
• Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or in a senior accounting role, with a track record of success.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in month-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and payroll processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with a focus on operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with Avalara and other tax-related systems is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of internal controls, budgeting processes, and compliance regulations.
