Job Description

We are looking for a Controller to join a growing team in Hyannis, Massachusetts in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position will oversee core accounting operations, payroll administration, financial reporting, and daily fiscal activities while supporting a staff of approximately 35 to 40 employees. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to keep financial processes organized, accurate, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage payroll processing through QuickBooks, including preparing payments and resolving routine payroll questions.
  • Produce and review financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents to support business decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor a small accounting or administrative team of three, setting priorities and monitoring workflow.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation by handling document control, scanning, and compilation of important records.
  • Support month-end and periodic close activities by reviewing entries, reconciling accounts, and verifying data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with leadership on budgeting, cash management, and overall financial performance tracking.
  • Help strengthen internal procedures and improve efficiency across accounting and administrative processes.
