Job Description

Job Summary Icon Motors is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automotive Controller. This pivotal role involves overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting principles, regulatory standards, and financial management, driving accuracy and transparency across all financial activities. Duties Manage and oversee automotive financial accounting, including general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring clarity and adherence to reporting standards. Conduct detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity. Implement and maintain effective internal controls related to governmental accounting, nonprofit accounting practices, and technical accounting standards. Utilize advanced accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms to streamline processes and enhance financial data integrity. Support budgeting processes by providing insightful financial analysis and forecasts that inform strategic decision-making. Ensure timely regulatory reporting and compliance with all applicable laws governing automotive finance operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial procedures, enhance reporting accuracy, and support audit preparations. Requirements Proven experience in automotive accounting. Demonstrated expertise in balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes. Strong knowledge of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, payroll processing, and general ledger management. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
