Job Summary - Controller New England Wire Products, Inc. (NEWP) is a family-owned, domestic manufacturer of high-quality wire display racks and shelving solutions. For decades, we've partnered with customers across the U.S. to deliver dependable products backed by responsive, relationship-driven service. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller specializing in Manufacturing to lead our financial operations with precision and strategic insight. This pivotal role involves overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in corporate and governmental accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving financial integrity within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities - Controller Manage and oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and debits & credits to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Lead the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and management reports aligned with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and other relevant standards. Implement and maintain internal controls in accordance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements to safeguard assets and ensure operational integrity. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments, collections, and accurate cash management. Conduct detailed financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and account analysis to support strategic decision-making within the manufacturing sector. Streamline financial operations and reporting using
SAP 4/HANA.
Ensure compliance with governmental regulations related to nonprofit or public accounting where applicable; manage regulatory reporting obligations diligently. Perform regular audits of the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and review financial concepts to maintain data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial management initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. Requirements - Controller Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Extensive experience in corporate accounting within a manufacturing setting; familiarity with governmental or nonprofit accounting is a plus. Strong knowledge of
GAAP, IFRS, SOX
compliance, and regulatory reporting standards. Proven expertise in financial report writing, account reconciliation, balance sheet management, and cash flow analysis. Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent financial management tools. Solid understanding of technical accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation. Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong financial acumen; capable of interpreting complex financial data for strategic insights. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
