Job Description

Vaco is working with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with leadership and operations teams to drive efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process improvements. High-visibility leadership role Collaborative and team-oriented culture Opportunity to drive operational and financial improvements within a growing manufacturing organization Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll oversight, inventory, cost accounting, reconciliations, and monthly close Prepare monthly financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Partner with operations on cost tracking, margin analysis, inventory management, and production reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational decision-making Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP workflows Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred 6+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting ERP experience (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience improving processes and partnering cross-functionally with operations teams preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
