Job Description

A fast-growing, private equity-backed services organization is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting function and support continued expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions.

This is a hands-on leadership role with broad exposure across the business. The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain strong financial controls, and partner closely with leadership on reporting and scalability initiatives.

Accounting & Close LeadershipOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesEnsure accurate, timely GAAP-compliant financial reportingMaintain strong balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and review processesOversee general ledger activity, accruals, and journal entriesTeam LeadershipManage and mentor a small, experienced accounting teamFoster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementProvide structure while empowering a capable teamOperational & Process OwnershipIdentify and implement process improvements, controls, and efficienciesEnsure accounting workflows are scalable to support continued growth and acquisitionsMaintain and enhance accounting policies and proceduresBusiness Partnership & AutonomyAct as a key accounting partner to the CFO and leadership teamOperate independently on day-to-day accounting matters, particularly during periods of M&A activitySupport integration efforts for newly acquired entitiesFinancial Reporting & ComplianceSupport audit and compliance requirementsEnsure consistency and accuracy across reporting processesAssist with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting needs
