Job Description
Description Robert Half has partnered with a long-standing client to hire their next Controller. These are exciting times at this private-equity backed company demonstrating exponential growth year over year! A successful candidate will play an integral part of the accounting & finance department, providing strategic decisions and suggestions for improvement, as well as keeping their financial outlook strong and driving the continued success of the company. We are looking for someone that has a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, and making critical decisions, and that has experience taking charge of an accounting department. This position is for candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Responsibilities:
- Direct accounting department activities, including full-cycle accounting operations and the monthly close process
- Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
- Work in conjunction with the finance team on revenue recognition processes and accurate reporting
- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management
- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Advanced credentials such as a MBA or CPA are preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
- Familiarity with SaaS / Revenue Recognition standards a plus
- ERP system experience with NetSuite / Sage Intacct / WorkDay preferred (not required)
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
