On-Site/In-Office Base Salary:
$140,000–$160,000 Our client, a well-known construction company near the Bethesda, MD area is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a close-knit, operationally sound environment. The company has a long-standing Mid-Atlantic regional presence and a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and repeat client relationships across both public and private projects. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). Minimum of 8+years Construction industry experience required with a minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience. Proven experience leading accounting teams and complex financial operations. Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and leadership presence.Controller Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations across construction and manufacturing entities. Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong controls and accurate reporting. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Oversee job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and internal policies. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy. #LI-JG1 #INAPR2026
