(UBCSS) is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead and oversee all financial operations of our growing nonprofit behavioral healthcare organization. This senior leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability of the agency. Competitive salary starting at $90,000+ annually Opportunity to serve as a key member of the organization's leadership team Make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven nonprofit organization Collaborative and supportive executive leadership environment Ability to influence organizational strategy and financial planning Stable and growing behavioral healthcare organization What You'll DoFinancial Leadership & Strategy Provide leadership in organizational financial planning, decision-making, and policy development Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Advise senior leadership on financial strategies and organizational performance Financial Operations Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Finance Department Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting financial records Oversee payroll operations utilizing Paycom Monitor cash flow, financial reporting, and budget performance Prepare and submit timely financial reports, analyses, and annual budgets Compliance & Reporting Facilitate annual independent financial statement audits Coordinate preparation and filing of required nonprofit tax returns Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, grant, and contractual requirements Oversee grants and contract revenue management and compliance activities Program & Administrative Oversight Oversee administration of Representative Payee client funds Provide financial oversight for HUD Section 811 housing programs Manage vendor agreements and financial relationships with external partners Collaborate with agency leadership to support operational and strategic initiatives What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible financial management experience in a similar leadership role Experience working within a nonprofit organization is required Experience in nonprofit healthcare or behavioral healthcare strongly preferred Extensive experience with the Sage accounting platform Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting Experience managing grants, contracts, and regulatory compliance Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision experience Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong technology skills and proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools Ideal Candidate Strategic thinker with strong business acumen Collaborative leader who values teamwork and mission-driven work Detail-oriented professional committed to financial accuracy and compliance Experienced in balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational management Join UBCSS and help strengthen the financial foundation that supports quality behavioral health services throughout our communities.
