Job Description

Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller Large Dynamic Multi-Site Medical Group is seeking a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller to work in the Corporate Office. This role serves as the primary financial steward with the main medical group and all the subsidiary companies, ensuring consistent financial practices, cash controls, and revenue cycle standards across all locations. Essential Duties
  • Accurately prepare a variety of financial reports and analyses and distribute to management timely and accurately
  • Meticulously prepare account reconciliations and identify errors and be responsible for corrections
  • Maintain ledgers for fixed assets and a variety of other
  • Send bills to various entities, track payments and ensure payments are according to contracted rates
  • Track and maintain required documentation for Human Resources
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting/finance department
  • Month-end and Year-end close processes
  • Accounts Payable as needed
  • Provide Payroll support as needed
  • Skilled in calculating various compensation formulas
  • Coordinate with external tax preparers and provide all necessary documentation and explanations (Form 1099s, Property Tax Forms, Year-End Tax Forms etc.
) Revenue Cycle Management/Medical Billing Skilled in revenue cycle, payor contracts, reimbursement structures, internal audits, and budgeting. Corporate Maintain annual filings with various jurisdictions in Maryland/DC/Virginia Maintain Corporate records for main entity, subsidiaries and related entities. Other
  • Support other departments/staff as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
Experience and Skills:
5-10 years of progressive healthcare accounting experience required Proficiency in financial statement preparation Proficiency in financial analysis, data analytics, Excel Proficiency in healthcare revenue cycle systems required Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Experience with Practice Management Systems Management experience preferred Experience in Payroll processing and management Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • MBA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • RCM Certificate preferred
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
