Job Description

Job Description A partner of Insight Global is looking for a Controller to lead all accounting and financial reporting activities across multiple consumer brands and legal entities. This role oversees financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, audit and tax coordination, and period-end close while partnering closely with the CFO and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, high-integrity leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-entity environments and drives continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll, cost accounting, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Communicate financial results, trends, and insights to executive leadership.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Partner on documenting and standardizing accounting processes and workflows.
  • Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and manage audit execution.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and KPI reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations on inventory management and cost accounting.
  • Drive process improvements with a target five-day close.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams across entities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance experience.
  • Experience in multi-entity and/or manufacturing environments.
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to operate in changing environments.
  • Experience in consumer products, retail, e‑commerce, or omni-channel businesses.
  • CPA and/or Master's degree.
  • Inventory experience with centralized distribution and 3PL providers.
  • Experience with Shopify, Power BI, Microsoft tools, DataLake, or Azure.
  • Background in change management, shared services, or enterprise system implementations.
