Job Description
A great client at UHY is seeking a Controller . The ideal candidate will have nonprofit accounting experience, strong financial reporting expertise, and experience leading accounting teams. The Controller role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite. This is a contract position with the potential of going permanent. Controller Responsibilities Oversee accounting and financial reporting for programs and affiliated entities Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders Establish and monitor financial goals to ensure organizational strength, compliance, and efficiency Collaborate with senior leadership, external partners, and stakeholders including banks, vendors, and funders Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring effective operations and performance Adapt financial strategies to support a dynamic and evolving environment Controller Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or Master's degree preferred 7+ years of experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role Experience in the nonprofit sector strongly preferred Experience managing a team of 8+ employees Valid driver's license and reliable transportation•UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
